Dersin Amacı

Apperception of the physical mechanisms and the mathematical models of heat and mass transfer. The comprehension of the analogy between heat and mass transfer. To cognize and apply the exact and approximate analytical methods for solution of heat and mass transfer problems. To tumble the basic analytical relations and solution methods in thermodynamics and heat transfer at the level of graduate and doctorate.

Dersin İçeriği

Fundamental concepts and laws in heat and mass transfer. The analogy between heat and mass transition. Heat and mass diffusion: Properties and mechanisms. One dimensional concentration distributions in solids and laminar flows. Heat and mass transfer in psychrometric process. Continuity and energy equations for mixtures. Multidimensional and time dependent systems. Momentum, heat and mass transfer in turbulent flow.
