Course Objective

Principles of inheritance of horticultural plants, basic breeding principles and teaching methods, teaching techniques to obtain seeds of  ornamental plants.

Course Content

Types of pollination and fertilization of horticultural crops, general plant breeding, inherited variations, genetic mechanism, breeding methods, the required properties of the seeds of  ornamental plants, Seeding in the world and in Turkey, seed separation techniques, seed harvesting, cleaning and packaging, marketing, seed control and certification.
