The aim of this course is to teach establising and maintaining of grassland of the park , garden and sport areas in rural and urban landscape

Week Topics Preliminary
13 Planting ; planting time,planting depth,type of planting,ratio of planting,irrigation after planting,germinate and emergence,mowing . Production vegetative ; with stolon , with rooted plants.
14 Maintaining ; patched planting,fertilization,macro nutrients ; nitrogen,phosphorus, Potassium,calcium. Weed control ; mechanical control, moss control,irrigation,mowing,sand , rollering, airing.
12 Lay out grass soil ,fertilization,fumigation of soil,grass seed,seed mixed,mixed seed for soccer area ,mixed seed for gardens and private areas , seed mixed for other areas.
11 Preparation of grass soil ; tillage , hoeing , land levelling , improvement materials for soil
9 Mid-term exam - Atmosfer.Soil factors , compressition.
1 General morphological properties of grasses ;Root , stem , leaves , flower ,and seed of Weatgrass
2 General morphological properties of legumes and the other grass family ; root ,stem , leaves , seed.
3 Definition of grassland and their aesthetic and ecological functions ; recistance ,aspect , production , other properties
4 Basic properties of important grass types as regards development and usage ; Lollium perene (Perennial ryegrass) , Lollium multiflorum (İtalian ryegrass) , Poa pratensis (Kentucky bluegrass), Poa trivialis (Rough bluegrass)
5 Festuca rubra (Red fescue), Festuca ovina (Sheep fescue) , Festuca longifolia (longleave fescue) , F.tenuifolia (thinleave fescue),F.arundinacea (Reed fescue) F.pratensis (Meadow fescue),Agrostis stolonifera (stolon bentgrass)
6 Phleum pratense (Timothy), Dactylis glomerata (Orchardgrass), Bromus inermis (Smooth brome), Agropyron cristatum (Crested wheatgrass), Cynodon dactylon (Bermudagrass).
7 Some varities of legumes ; Trifolium repens (White clover), Medicago sativa (Alfalfa) , Coronilla varia (Creeping crownvetch) ,the other families ; Ophiopogon japonicus ,Dikondra repens.
